Owl be there

The cat was intently staring out the window on our balcony. Sky and I finally spotted a fairly big mouse hunkered down on the first step, between the wood posts. I said, heck no, mouse must go, and told Sky to grab a broom. He wanted to look at this cute thing a bit closer and tried to look at it with his phone flashlight, didn't work. He looked away for a split second, the balcony door was open at that point, and we suddenly heard a loud panicked squeee and a crunching sound. mouse was gone. Sky envisioned a ten foot monster grabbing the mouse from down below us. We grabbed a flashlight after spying a dark blob out on the lawn. An owl had solved the problem grabbing the mouse right from under our noses, and was feasting on it on the back lawn.

Don't smoke, kids! You might have thought that the paintings of Kevin the Kitten were rather simplistic at first glance, but most assuredly, this imaginative artist is anything but a slouch in inserting Kevin the Kitten into anything she wishes. That concludes my introduction to Vanessa Stockard's fabulous little f
